The "crisis" has broad shoulders ...!
The said plan, the Stability and Growth Pact (of the government) was the way it and the big capitalists found to make, as always, the people pay for their economic and political stupidity, the so called 'crisis'. So far nothing new!
But most people, young and old, with and without work, the more degraded areas and housing estates, have always been in "crisis" ... Because the real crisis is the existence of the current system of CAPITALISM and STATE which, in order that governments, politicians, managers and employers continue to get richer, requires a lot of poverty and unemployment to put pressure on those still working to accept the most wretched conditions: the LOWEST WAGES IN EUROPE, the WORST SOCIAL SECURITY, the criminal "SECURITY" at work, long work hours (sometimes 10, 12 and 14 hours for salaries of 2.5 and 3 Euros per hour), etc.. etc.. None of this is new, but they have NEVER BEEN SO BAD! Given this, what do the politcal parties and directors of trade unions linked with them do?
The right, where there are new 'enlightened' leaders moving around behind the scenes, who grease the government and want to help make the poor pay and save the bank managers, 'poor things', and their political families. The "left" are supposed to help the rulers and their capitalist friends to avoid a popular revolt like in Greece, and organise peaceful scerene little protests to entice us and entertain those who still believe that they represent 'the people'... what they intend with it is to gain a few more votes and be the 'saviour of the motherland' and the 'national economy'.
But the National Economy belongs to who?
For years we have seen the managers of large companies fatten their accounts, buy more expensive cars, shine their beautiful credit cards, closing businesses - from textile Vale do Ave, for example - and they establish their own salaries in the tens of thousands of Euros per month, at the expense of the misery they pay to those who work ... This "National Economy", therefore, is theirs and the corrupt politicians who protect them. OURS are low wages, precarious employment, miserable pensions, taxes, unemployment benefits or tip you pay to the person who looks after your parked car, to sell or pawn what you can.
What is it Possible to do?
To save this system of exploitation and domination that reproduces every day gross inequalities and poverty for the majority, to give control to others, allegedly with a "new direction" and "another policy" IS NOT SOLUTION! If the leaders of parties and unions they control even wanted to fight against unemployment and EXPOITATION they would reclaim, for example, the 30 hour working week to create more jobs, reclaim EUROPEAN WAGES, they would propose and dynamise the occupation of business and control of production by the workers themselves for their own benefit - this is called the SELFMANAGEMENT. Also, they would study and create forms of social economy (community gardens, production cooperatives, soup kitchens ...) with no room for speculation and enrichment of some "cunning" people (managers, executives, middlemen) at the cost of the exploitation of the majority - and propose and mobilise forms of struggle capable of, at the least, lessen the misery and social degradation (which see on the streets and never on television!...): popular meetings in the squares and streets, squatting of empty homes, the occupation of large commercial spaces, rent strikes, refusals to pay for increasingly expensive public services, occupation of the institutions of "social support" which are not working, free distribution of basic necessities – those which remain in department stores waiting to be destroyed or sold for lowest price ...
IF THEY DO NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT is because they are complicit with the miserable VAMPIRES - who govern and manage such a "national economy" (theirs!) and who "eat everything and leave nothing”!
Enough! Don't trust those who only want to chase the vote in order to eat at the table of the rich and powerful!
Let us create revolutionary unions and autonomous assemblies of workers, unemployed and residents! Let us use the weapon of popular direct action!
United and autonomously organised! We'll give them “a crisis”!
“Liberation of the workers can only be by their own effort!”
